Her family hikes regularly, as well as enjoys nature-related classes and experiences, camping, and more. She is also the founder of the Daytona Beach Vegetarian Society, where she holds outreach events to benefit animals and the environment. She also teaches recycling to children.
While Jacqueline was born in Detroit, she grew up in northern Michigan, in a small town called St. Helen. Growing up back on a dirt road in the woods helped instill a love for all things nature. As an adult, Jacqueline and her husband moved to Las Vegas, where they spent nearly a decade enjoying hiking in the nearby mountains, and visiting many natural areas in the west, including Monument Valley, Death Valley, Bryce Canyon, the Grand Canyon, Mount Zion, etc.
In 2006, Jacqueline, her husband, and her two children (a daughter age 2 and a son 2 months old at the time) packed up and moved east. They settled in Port Orange, just south of Daytona Beach. Today they live just minutes from the ocean. While they enjoy spending time at the beach, they also love exploring the many other beautiful natural areas of Florida, including the springs, trails, rivers, and beyond.
Jacqueline also has a popular blog for parents in Volusia County, called Volusia County Moms.
