On this past Friday I went into Cypress Creek Elementary School and led a reycling program for all of the 1st graders. It was lots of fun!

My son's first grade teacher (who is awesome) set the whole thing up. I spent an hour in the morning with around 100 kids, planting some seeds about the importance of recycling. We discussed what garbage is, how we have two choices once we are absolutely done with something (landfill or recycle), and how the choice we make impacts our community and world.

It was a lot of fun. I will be doing it again next week at South Daytona Elementary School. Here are a couple of pictures from the recycling morning:
