Smyrna Dunes Park in New Smyrna Beach, Florida

If you are looking for a great place to take a nature walk check out Smyrna Dunes Park, located in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

Smyrna Dunes Park is located at 2995 N. Peninsula Ave., in New Smyrna Beach.

There is a park entrance fee of $5 per vehicle. They do allow dogs there and the boardwalk is wheelchair and stroller friendly.

The park has a wonderful elevated boardwalk that is around two miles and winds through the dunes. The dunes give you a view of that habitat, including some wildflowers, gopher tortoises, and even ocean views. There are picnic tables sporadically around the boardwalk trail, so you can pack a picnic and make a stop off to enjoy it at a covered picnic table.

You can go off the boardwalk if you wish and make your way to the ocean and surrounding waters. This park provides a lot of diversity and a lot to explore. Younger kids can easily make the whole boardwalk trek with taking a break or two along the way.
