Fort De Soto Park - Nature Trail, Beach, Historical Site

This past weekend we went to the Tampa area to spend some time. While there we went to Fort De Soto Park. This is a great park! It has so much to offer... you can hike, bike, camp, hit the beach, kayak (they offer kayak rentals), etc. There is also a fort historical area you can check out. Great place and it's only $5 for the admission fee. 

We took the nature trail, which was really nice. It was around a mile or so long and was nicely shaded. After that we headed across the street and set up at the beach. Very nice beach access. This park has a lot of picnic tables and plenty of space for families to gather. It was Memorial Day when we were there, and there were lots of families gathered, and everyone still had some space. They also have gift shops and snack stands at this park.

Two thumbs up for Fort De Soto Park in Pinellas Park. If you get a chance to check it out I highly reocmmend it! Here are some pictures from our stop at Fort De Soto Park:
