Suwanee River State Park - Cabin rental, cabin camping

We recently spent two days camping at Suwanee River State Park. We rented a cabin (cabin number 4) for two nights. My daughter wanted to do this to celebrate her birthday, instead of have a birthday party. We had a great time!

The Suwanee River State Park is located in the North Central area of Florida, right along the famous and historical Suwanee River. The park offers tent, RV, and cabin camping. They also have some hiking trails, and you can book a canoe trip down the Suwanee River. The park is also with a half an hour of several area springs that you can check out if you staying during the summer months.

The cabins are great! They were $110 per night when we stayed (including taxes). They are not rustic, but rather provide a nice two bedroom cabin that has air conditioning, a fireplace, a full kitchen that is stocked with dishes, and more. The cabin also has an awesome screened in porch that goes around half of the house. On the porch there are a couple of rocking chairs, a porch swing, and a picnic table. I loved the porch!

The cabin was very clean and really nice. There is no TV (yay!), and there's no WiFi service, so you will spend quality time just relaxing. There is a bonfire pit out back, too. They sell stacks of wood for $6 each that you can use for the fire pit. We saw deer, heard barred owls and woodpeckers, and loved sitting on the porch listening to the sounds of nature. They have five cabins in all, one of which is wheelchair accessible.

Two thumbs up for the cabins at the Suwanee River State Park!
