Rosy Wolfsnail in Florida

I see these often as they make their way across the New Smyrna Beach Pedestrian Trail. They are rosy wolfsnails, which are predatory snails that have been introduced to the state. They feed on other snails, which is why they have been introduced in numerous places around the world, hoping to control the population of unwanted snails. While some people may not care for them, because of their non-native and predatory nature, they are still a natural work of art that look pretty cool!
