The world's largest occupied bat houses - University of Florida in Gainesville

Recently, while visiting the Florida Natural History Museum that is at the University of Florida, we stopped by to see the bat houses that they have on campus. It's pretty neat! I'd love to be there at night to see the bats come out. They have two built and a third one was in the process of being built. The signs explain that they are the world's largest occupied bat houses. There are some benches and interpretive signs there, if you decide to stop by and check it out while in the Gainesville area. Just search for "bat houses" while in Google maps and it will bring up the location. It was easy to find.

Check out my follow up post here, when we went at dusk to see the bats emerge.
