Manatee Park in Lee County near Fort Myers

Manatee-park

Want to see some manatees in Florida? During the colder mornings in December, January, and February, you can stop by Manatee Park in Lee County. Located in the Fort Myers area at 10901 State Road 80, the manatees huddle in to the canal to keep warm. They are there on cold mornings, so get there early to see a lot of them. Once it warms up they will move back out to the river to feed.

We stopped by Manatee Park on a recent cold morning. There were over 100 manatees in the viewing area. It was great! There is a short walk, restrooms, gift shop, and plenty of manatee viewing area along the canal. There are also picnic tables and benches. The park is $2 per hour or $5 for the day.

This is a great little park to see some manatees on a cold Florida morning. If you are in the area, be sure to stop by on a cold morning to check out the manatees.
