What you should know about visiting Florida Springs

Florida Springs Located Near Each Other

You can find a full Florida Springs Guide here.

Many people look for Florida springs that are located near each other, and for good reason. By knowing which ones are located near each other you can stop by several in one day or one trip. This is especially helpful if you are traveling a ways to get to the springs. Below you will find information on Florida springs that are located near each other. I don't yet have the ones in the panhandle listed, because I haven't been there. Hopefully a trip to hit them all up will happen soon. Once it does, I will add the info to the Florida Springs Guide. There are many more springs than what are listed. Many springs can only be accessed by kayak, and they are not listed.

OCALA NATIONAL FOREST

DUNNELLON AREA

SUWANEE RIVER AREA (CHIEFLAND and MAYO AREAS)

FORT WHITE AREA

VOLUSIA COUNTY AREA

SPRING HILL / TAMPA AREA

ORLANDO AREA SPRINGS

More details:

Some of these areas are not far from each other, if you want to make a trip out of visiting them all. The Orlando area springs are under an hour from the ones in the Ocala National Forest and the ones in Volusia County, although it's two different directions. You could get a hotel or camp at one of the Ocala National Forest springs and visit them all.  You could stay in the DeBary area and go to both the Volusia County springs and the Orlando area springs. You could get a hotel or camp at one of the springs in the Chiefland area and visit all of them. We have stayed in a hotel and have camped at springs and then will drive up to an hour to go visit other springs while on that trip. Usually in one trip we will visit 4-6 different springs.
