Good tire covers for RVs
If you are like me, you want some good tire covers for the RV. We have tried a few kinds to see what works and what doesn't Some of them are hard to put on and others make it easier. Some you order and find out that the sizing guide didn't account for the space between the tires when they are double tires that need to be covered in one cover. We have bought some, went through some that didn't last, and have returned some that didn't size up correctly, despite our efforts to measure and order what would fit.
We finally found some good RV tire covers that are not outrageous to purchase, super easy to put on, and they do the job well. We like the Explore Land tire covers. They can easily be ordered through Amazon, arrive quickly, and are not disappointing like so many others we have tried.
These ones are simple to use and they do a good job of keeping the RV tires covered. Why would you want to cover the RV tires? To help protect them and increase their longevity. We live in Florida, and the sun is harsh and can take a toll on tires. By keeping them covered when it's parked we can help preserve them some. We keep these tire covers on all four tires when it's parked and we are not using the RV.
When we went through Hurricane Milton, we had a different set of tire covers. They were not as easy to put on, but they did the job okay. Well, a few days after the hurricane passed, we went to check on our RV, which is parked in a gated lot around 20 minutes away from home. When we arrived, we saw that the RV had been moved forward about two feet and the tired covers were in shreds! They had been destroyed by the hurricane. We assumed that the wind from the hurricane must have pushed the trailer forward a couple of feet, although it hadn't happened in prior hurricanes. Then I noticed that there were no chalks! Much to our surprise, when my husband last parked it after our last camping trip out, he forget to chalk the wheels. Don't make that mistake if you live in a hurricane zone. :)
