While Jacqueline was born in Detroit, she grew up in northern Michigan, in a small town called St. Helen. Growing up back on a dirt road in the woods helped instill a love of nature. As an adult, Jacqueline and her husband moved to Las Vegas, where they spent nearly a decade enjoying hiking in the nearby mountains, and visiting many natural areas in the west, including Monument Valley, Death Valley, Bryce Canyon, the Grand Canyon, Mount Zion, Valley of Fire, etc.
In 2006, Jacqueline, her husband, and her two children packed up and moved east. They settled in Port Orange, just south of Daytona Beach. Today they live just minutes from the ocean. They love exploring the many beautiful natural areas of Florida, including the springs, trails, rivers, and beyond.
Jacqueline also has a popular blog for parents in Volusia County, called Volusia County Moms. Some of her other blogs include Daytona Beach Bound, and VegBlogger.
